John the Baptist seems like an odd choice to bring to mind when thinking of hope. He lived rough and ate locusts, he even called the crowds that came to him for baptism a "brood of vipers." But John carried hope for the Messiah to come and he used all the privilege that he was afforded in life to put his hope into action. John asked those that came to him to put their hope into action as well. During this season of Advent, how will you use your privilege to prepare the way for God to be in someone's life?
